What Can I Do with My Junk in Dubai?

I started the new year with a good decluttering session, which usually means a bunch of things I don’t need anymore are gathered together in a corner by the time I’m done.

There were some items I wanted to sell and others that weren’t really useful to me anymore and this where Take My Junk comes in.

What Can I Do with My Junk in Dubai

If you have items that you would rather sell, you can take a look at Cash Converters or Dubizzle to sell these items.

It’s easy to list your items but provides as much detail as possible so you can find the right buyer that won’t waste your time.

For low ticket items, you can utilize the Dubai Flea Market or Abu Dhabi Flea Market but these places are for really low-cost items.

Don’t bring high-value items to sell here as you won’t get the right price. If booking a table is too expensive for you, you can buddy up with a friend and share a table. That’s what I did a few years ago.

Now for the junk, I called up Take My Junk. Take My Junk is a company that picks up unwanted items from customers and repurposes them. Afterwards, the items are given away to low-income communities.

The process was very simple. I sent them a text message and mentioned the items I wanted to get rid off.

This helps them figure out how big a truck and how many staff to send round for pick up. Then we scheduled a suitable pick up date and time.

They turned up on the date and time we agreed on and moved everything away. Pick up was also free of charge.

You can sell items to Take My Junk but the offer is quite low so best to call them for things you want to get rid off not sell.

By the way, they take everything, no matter how completely useless you think it is, they will take it. Feel free to also tip the pick up drivers.

While this isn’t compulsory, they really appreciated it. They pick up junk from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and RAK.
